About Kept

We built Kept because thoughtfulness shouldn't require a good memory

Kept started from one honest observation: the people who are best at gift-giving aren't the ones with the most time or money — they're the ones who pay attention. They remember an offhand comment from months ago and bring it back exactly when it matters. That's a skill, not a personality trait, and it's the one thing every other gifting tool ignores.

The problem

Reminder apps tell you a date is coming and leave the thinking to you. Wishlists only work if the other person fills one out. Shopping sites sell you whatever converts, not whatever's right for your sister. None of them solve the actual problem: knowing someone well enough to give them something that lands.

The mission

Make it possible for anyone to be the most thoughtful person in the lives of the people they love — not by trying harder, but by having something that pays attention on their behalf, and only asks for a yes.

The philosophy

We're not building a store. Kept never shows a catalog, never takes a cut from pushing one product over another, and never optimizes for browsing time. It exists to bring you one right answer, as rarely or as often as someone you love needs one.
